About the Book
Heroes Of The Heart Book Of Quotes by Joan Jessalyn Cox contains heartfelt and inspiring quotes from talented and wise people of distinction who share their values and principles, outstanding examples of leadership and greatness. Some of these fearless heroes sacrificed their lives for us and expected nothing from us in return. Others gave us encouragement and hope when the world was in turmoil. They energize us and make the world a better place to live for everyone. Many of these admirable people were unaware of how significant their lives would be or how they would impact the world in the future. Their words as prayers have gone a long way in making the world a happier place.
Heroes Of The Heart Book Of Quotes is fascinating - well researched and superbly written. Much more than a book of quotes, it also contains information about the people, their history, and that which made them legends. I enjoyed learning new information about famous people and their quotes, my personal favorite being: “I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter.” -- Winston Churchill. Joan Jessalyn Cox has done a superb job of selecting meaningful quotes and interesting information about the leaders which she chose to write about - talented communicators and orators who have done good work. From the pilgrims who taught us survival skills to current-day leaders in their field of expertise; from politicians to entertainers and military veterans. All round, a great educational Christian-based book, highly recommended to adults and children. ---5 Star Review

Heroes of the Heart Book of Quotes: Christian Heritage Honored in Heroes by Joan Jessalyn Cox contains many interesting quotes from notable people. According to Cox, notable people have uniqueness that no one else can rival, and good quotes allow the readers to know how notable people think. This is why Heroes of the Heart Book of Quotes is such a valuable book. In it, Cox has not only cited the quotes from notable people but also given the background of these people. The notable people included in the book are Billy Graham, Martin Luther King, Winston Churchill, General George Patton, Elvis Presley, Will Rogers, Donald Trump, and Ronald Reagan. Toward the end of the book, in the chapter “Joan Jessalyn’s Quotes of Notable Men”, Cox cites her own quotes about these notable people.
In addition to the chapters on the quotes by various people, there are other chapters. I particularly liked the chapters “Past Presidents' Perceptive Quotes” and “Notable People’s Leadership Quotes” because they include quotes from people who are not in the earlier chapters. Then, there are many quotes from the Bible in the chapters “Jesus Christ The Master of Peace” and “Jesus The God of Truth”. Of all the quotes cited in Heroes of the Heart Book of Quotes, I liked the following quotes best: “Ignorance lies not in the things you don't know, but in the things, you know that ain't so” by Will Rogers, and “I wasn't satisfied just to earn a good living. I was looking to make a statement” by Donald Trump. A really good effort by Joan Jessalyn Cox to compile the quotes in Heroes of the Heart Book of Quotes . ---4 Star Review

I very much enjoyed Heroes of the Heart Book Of Quotes: Christian Heritage Honored In Heroes by Joan Jessalyn Cox. In this book, there are quotes from eight different men that are heroes in the eyes of people. There are many interesting and helpful quotes from men like Billy Graham, Martin Luther King, Donald Trump, and five other great men. There are also many quotes from Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, which can be found in the Bible. Cox includes chapters that are Patriotic Quotes, her own Joan Jessalyn Cox Quotes, as well as several other chapters I found quite interesting such as The First Thanksgiving that I did enjoy. I have always found quotes interesting in many of the books I read, but reading Heroes of the Heart Book Of Quotes now has me watching for them in everything I read.
Joan Jessalyn Cox does an amazing job of researching each man, writing important things about them, and listing valuable quotes from each. Some of these men I have never heard of and it was a joy for me to read about them. Others I have heard of but learned a little bit more about them. As for the quotes, I have heard a few of them, so I was excited to read more from this book. As for the Quotes of Jesus, I have read most of them many times in the Bible, but reading them again makes me realize even more that Jesus really did say these things when He was here on earth. In reading Heroes of the Heart Book of Quotes, I find this is a book well worth your time. I want to memorize some of them that mean a lot to me. I think everyone would benefit from Cox's book in many different ways. Why not check this book out for your own enjoyment and encouragement. ---5 Star Review
